7-night land adventure plus 4-night Gulf of Alaska southbound cruise

Day 1: Anchorage, Alaska
Your Tour Director will welcome you to Alaska! Transfer to your downtown hotel and get your first taste of Alaska in the nearby shops and museums.

Day 2: McKinley Explorer® rail to Denali National Park
Board the largest domed railcars on the Alaska Railroad route for leisurely sightseeing, fine dining and gracious service. Upon arrival transfer to your inviting Denali Park lodge for true Alaskan adventure. Don't miss the Park Visitor Center!

Day 3: Tundra Wilderness Tour, McKinley Explorer to Fairbanks
Today's official narrated park tour (6 to 8 hours) spotlights varied wildlife and the best Mt. McKinley viewpoints. Later, reboard the award-winning McKinley Explorer for luxury travel to Fairbanks. Overnight in this frontier-friendly city.

Day 4: Explorer Coach to Tok via Alaska Highway
Take in expansive mountain and river views stopping for an up-close look at the TransAlaska Pipeline. At Gold Dredge No. 8, a National Historic Site, view the mining exhibits, pan for gold and enjoy a hearty miner's lunch (included). You'll experience "bush Alaska" as you sightsee the Alaska Highway to Tok.

Day 5: mv Yukon Queen II cruise to Dawson City
Travel the Taylor Highway from Tok to Eagle and tour this National Historic Site and the visitor center for Yukon-Charley Rivers National Reserve. Then embark our mv Yukon Queen II catamaran and cruise the "River of Gold." Arrive this evening in Dawson City for an overnight stay on the historic Klondike Trail.

Day 6: Optional Dawson City and Tombstone Park adventures
On optional Tombstone Park excursions, join local interpreters and explore natural marvels two billion years old. This remote region is blessed by wildlife and dramatic landscapes. Or opt to explore Dawson City, a Klondike National Historic Site.

Day 7: Explorer Coach to Whitehorse
Sightsee along the Klondike Highway past Five Finger Rapids on the Yukon River (lunch included). Whitehorse, the capital of the Yukon Territory, is home to the legendary Frantic Follies Vaudeville Revue.

Day 8: Whitehorse to Skagway / Embark your cruise
Today's travels take you across the mountains via the historic White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad and down to the coast. Then transfer to your Holland America cruise ship and say "good-bye" to your Tour Director.

Day 9: Cruising Glacier Bay National Park

Day 10: Ketchikan, Alaska

Day 11: Inside Passage scenic cruising

Day 12: Vancouver, B.C.
